In other words, this board enforces Department of Health Services (DHS) Articles and facilitates investigations of deficiencies. All licensing passes through them, as well as complaints made about the assisted living facilities. They conduct board meetings every second Monday of the month. That being said, meetings are open to the public. Agendas are found on their website: aznciaboard.us
Furthermore, the NCIA Board also approves and oversees Training programs for Assisted Living managers and caregivers.
Assisted Living Training School is an NCIA Board approved training provider. As mentioned above, the NCIA board approved programs consist of the following:
Assisted Living Caregiver Training
Assisted Living Manager Training
CNA/LNA/DCW to Caregiver Bridge training.
The above courses require you to take a state exam that will certify you through the state once passed. After you are certified, you are qualified to work anywhere in Arizona.
